Apple started rolling out Passbook-enabled Apple Store gift cards this week end. iOS 6's Passbook burst onto the scene with a bit of a whimper, it's been getting more useful as time goes on, Apple has been trying to elaborate the usefulness of Passbook and has started selling gift cards for the Apple Store that are enabled for Passbook. The cards can be bought using the Apple Store app which recently updated and is available in prices ranging from $25 to $2,000 and also available in three colors blue, pink like that.

Apple's Passbook application is a place to store virtual versions of credit cards, airline tickets, gift cards. Google Wallet and Isis, needs NFC connectivity but Passbook needs only a  Wi-Fi or cellular connection. Digital gift cards are definitely an easy last-minute gift, and the Passbook integration is bound to be a handy feature for anyone on the receiving end who can use it. If the receiver those who doesn't have Passbook to store the digital gift cards in, then they can able to receive an email and that can be printed out. If the lucky recipient those who have Passbook, they can easily take advantage of an option that uses the gift receiver's zip code to receive a notification whenever they close to a bricks and mortar Apple Store.
