T-Mobile the fourth largest U.S. carrier will be issuing an update for unlocked iphone 5 to make it compatible with its new 4G LTE Service. T-Mobile said that it will be offering the iphone 5 with 4G LTE network. The iphone 5 will feature on the T-Mobile’s inventory from April 12th.

Users of the unlocked iphone had access to the T-Mobile network but they did not have the access to 4G LTE data speeds. T-Mobile will issue updates which will make the unlocked iphone 4G LTE enabled. The update will be starting from April 5th and the update will be available through OTA (over the air) and also via iTunes. After the update iphone will become compatible to 4G LTE data and so also to visual voicemail with some additional features. The iphone 5 is the only device from Apple which supports the 4G LTE data speed.

AT&T customers no need to buy a newly tweaked iphone 5 model from T-Mobile to enjoy T-Mobile’s 4G LTE speeds.  AT&T iphone 5 (model A1428) will work on T-Mobile’s LTE by loading a custom carrier firmware. According to the report of TMONews the software update enables a handful of capabilities like Visual Voicemail, MMS Settings and Network/Device optimizations that customers do not have access to today.
