Most of the mobile manufacturers and carrier’s providing Android updates in the market today. But HTC devices Android updates were very slow compare with others. Now the HTC Android 4.11 jelly bean update was rolled out for the international version of the HTC One S smartphone. But the users have a carrier based devices have to wait. It is only available to the carrier independent devices. Most European markets may get update. And the update is available through the OTA (Over the Air) or by connecting it to your PC.

This jelly bean update provides Sense 4+, an enhanced version of the HTC skin seen in newer flagship devices, enhanced UI with better Camera and new landing page and event/map view in gallery. Other features of the update provide a fix for battery issues and power saver option from the Notification menu. The update was said to be available in October but it is available in December. Taiwanese manufacturer HTC has kept up with its promise by rolled out the update. HTC had also confirmed its plans to upgrade the One XL with Jelly Bean.

XDA Developers Forum first discovered the update. OTA update about 612.27MB and carries version number 3.16.401.8. The software based on the phone CID might rolled via OTA incase it is not available you have to wait for some time. According to the XDA-Developers “HTC__001, HTC__E11, HTC__203, HTC__102, HTC__405, HTC__Y13, HTC__A07, HTC__304, HTC__M27, HTC_032, HTC__016” these are the CID’s getting the update.
