HTC has revealed the Android 8.0 Oreo roll out for its flagship smartphone HTC U11. Mo Versi (VP of Product Management) has affirmed this software update for USA. Another major thing is it will be available for unlocked variants only. Later the carrier based models (like Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon etc) will taste this Oreo update. Starting from Monday (i.e. today) the U11 (unlocked) owners will receive the android oreo software update.

Earlier they’ve pushed this Oreo update to Taiwan fans that weighs in 1.33GB. Like that the update for U.S units may also weighs above 1GB and will be available via OTA. Some of new features in Oreo are Picture in Picture Mode (PIP), notification dots, improved battery management, auto fill forms and more. Still we didn’t receive the details of Oreo software version and the exact size of this update. Once the roll out has initiated we’ll update these information.
