Few days back, Huawei has revealed the smartphone lists that are eligible to receive the oreo upgrade. Now they’ve officially begins to seed the android 8.0 oreo update for Honor 8 Pro and Honor 9 handsets. Currently Huawei is pushing this software update to UK units. It will also update the EMUI version to 8.0 for both handsets.

As for now, the update is limited to UK variants and soon the company will announce global roll out. You may have heard several times about the oreo features like picture in picture mode, autofill, faster booting speed, notification dots, adaptive icons and more. Along with that they’ve also done some tweaks in EMUI 8.0 such as background activity management, smart tips, added A.I related features, dynamic wallpaper, customizable navigation bar, smart resolution and more.

Honor 9 and Honor 8 Pro owners will receive this software update in batches via OTA. To download this major update you need to connect your handset to WiFi network. If you own the eligible handset then you’ll receive the software update prompt. Once the OTA update is available for your device, then follow the installation steps that will be displayed on your screen.
