Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has started to push new software update for last year successor handset Honor 8 Pro. This firmware update carries several new features to this device such as face unlock, idea VOLTE support, new AR Lens option in camera, supports specific fingerprint enrollment for Paytm app and installs the April 2018 security patch. Along with that it will also fix the issue in 3D creator app.

However, Huawei has already rolled out this face unlock update to other regions on April 2018. While the Honor 8 Pro Indian units are just now getting this update. We’ve also added the screenshot of this new update. This image has revealed the build number of this update as DUK-L09 8.0.0.320. This featured update weighs in 627 MB, so use recommended connection like WiFi to download this update.

Huawei is now rolling out this software update via OTA in batch-wise. Connect your device to WiFi network to receive the automatic OTA prompt. You can also check for the update manually from Settings > System Updates. Once the firmware is available for your device, download and install it to enjoy the new features.
