Virgin Mobile USA announced a Android smartphone called Kyocera Event. The cost of Kyocera Event is just $79.99 without any contract. Virgin's plans that offers unlimited data starting at $35 per month for 300 minutes.

Kyocera Event runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and featured with a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480) display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It has 4 GB of internal storage, 512 MB of RAM and supports microSD memory card slot with expansion up to 32 GB. According to camera, Kyocera Event sports with 3.2 Megapixel rear facing camera with flash, camcorder and video capture. It also supports Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and 3G Network. The weight of the Kyocera Event is 4.1 oz.

The additional features in Kyocera Event are Virgin Mobile ID Packs, Eco Mode, MagniFont and Swype Text Input. The smartphone is available in black color now and it will be available in red color starting March 3.
