LG unveiled the LG Optimus F5 in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held at Barcelona on February 2013. The device will make its world debut starting in Europe on April 29. Korean manufacturer LG launch the device on 29^th April in France two months after it was unveiled. LG offer a lower priced 4G LTE model in France and it will be the first country to release the device. After France it will be launched in South and Central America, Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

“LG has consistently set the standard in the mobile industry with technology that complements, not complicates, users’ lives,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. LG Optimus F5 has a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 4.3 inch qHD display with pixel density of 256ppi. It runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean operating system. It also has a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory storage, 5MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera. The battery capacity is 2150mAh.

It also supports some of the Applications like Live Zooming, QTranslator and QSlide. Live Zooming helps to zoom into any specific part of a video. With Video Wiz the user can take the video, to add sound and music straight from the phone with other enhancements. The QTranslator lets users to take a picture of text in a foreign language and have the words, sentences and phrases translated. This accepts 44 different languages and translates them into one of 64 languages. QSlide allows users to open multiple apps at the same time in full screen mode with the ability to change the size, position and transparency of the windows.
