Motorola is now pushing January month security patch update for Moto X Play. This device was launched in 2015 and recently received October 2016 patch update globally. The company has rolled out this January 2017 security update to more countries. For India the software update comes in new version 24.201.5.en.03 and in some countries it arrives in 24.211.11.en.EU (Italy). The update weighs in small size 13MB.

Additionally the firmware update will include performance optimization and fix known bugs. If you are using the Moto X Play then turn on wifi or mobile data to receive the automatic OTA update. Still you didn’t get the update notification the tap settings menu > About phone > Software update. Moto x play users are awaiting for nougat update but unfortunately it will not release until May 2017.
