As scheduled, Motorola has unveiled their most awaited successor smartphone Moto Z2 Play at launch event. The rumors of this handset were surfaced for past few months. Finally they have announced this handset and also rolled out in Brazil market. It looks like its processor model but they have made some tweaks in design and hardware. In Moto Z2 Play the company has trimmed the sides to 5.99mm, compared to 6.99mm from previous model.

After the announcement it immediately goes for sale in Brazil. The handset is now available in Brazil at Moto online store for R$ 1,999. The company also revealed the global roll out of this device will begin this month. For U.S the handset is Verizon exclusive and available from late summer.

The z2 play features 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1080p) resolution. The display also protected with 3rd generation of Corning gorilla glass. It comes with latest version of android 7.1.1 nougat os. They have upgraded the chipset to Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 and processor retains at octa core which clocks at 2.2 GHz. It will be available in two storage versions – 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. Both variants will support microSD for memory expansion.

It has 12MP main camera that supports 4K video recording, dual pixel autofocus, laser autofocus and more features. There’s also 5MP front camera for perfect selfie images. Other preloaded options are fingerprint sensor at front, NFC, WiFi, nano coated water repellent, 4G LTE, Type-C USB, Bluetooth 4.2, dual/single nano sim slot and more. Talking about power source, it has 3000 mAh battery that can be quickly charged with 15W turbo power charger. Available color options are blue topaz, gold and platinum.

Along with this they have introduced new and revamped Moto Mods like JBL SoundBoost, TurboPower Pack, Moto Gamepad and Moto Style Shell. It will also available to buy from this summer.
