Motorola has started to push new security software update for its Moto G5s Plus. This flagship mobile was first launched on August 2017. . The latest firmware will install October month android security patch for this device. The major work of October patch is to address and fix the vulnerabilities which allow hackers to control your device.

Other than the patch it may optimize the performance and fixes some bugs. This patch update is now available in India and has been installed by many users. The new software version for this October update will come as NPSS26.116-26-4. This security update weighs in small size 53.5 MB. It will be rolled out through OTA and can be download it using wifi or mobile data.

Still you didn’t receive the OTA, just wait for it because the roll out will happen in phases and take some time to reach all handsets. If you can’t stay calm then head into Settings menu and tap System updates under About Phone menu. This manual process will check for software updates and shows the download option if it is available.
