Earlier in October Motorola revealed the Nougat update plan for Moto X Play device. Today the company has rolled out minor software update for Moto X Play users in India. The notification screen confirms the update brings October month security patch and stability improvements for this device. This firmware may fix bugs and ready your device for the upcoming Nougat update.

The download size of this update comes in 66.4MB. It will also update the system version to 24.81.1.en.03. The user can check for this software update manually from Settings > About phone > System Updates. If it is available for your device then download it now otherwise wait for official notification. After completing the download proceed to install option it will take 20 minutes for installation.

Moto officially said android 7.0 update will be released for Moto X Play in this December 2016. But the month is going to end so we can expect nougat update on next month. Recently it also appeared on benchmark site with android nougat 7.1.1 latest os version.
