While everyone is waiting for android pie update, but Nokia just now pushing the android oreo 8.1 update for Nokia 3 users. This handset was launched on 2017 with android 7.0 nougat as pre-installed os, later in April 2018 they’ve upgraded this handset to android 8.0 version. It’s good to see that old devices are getting the software update and with this roll out Nokia had intimated that they didn’t forget the last year devices.

Coming to present, the android 8.1 oreo for Nokia 3 carries new version V4.42D and its available for download in many regions. The screenshot reveals this software update will be available via OTA and also confirms the changelog. This update weighs around 1818.3 MB (1.8 GB), so we advice to use WiFi connection for download. What’s new in Oreo 8.1? It installs the December month security patch, redesigned power menu UI, all new settings menu, added battery percentage for bluetooth, system stability tweaks and so on.

Because of phased roll out, the software update will take few more time to reach all devices. If you own Nokia 3 device, you can check for the update manually from Settings menu. Suppose if the firmware update didn’t available in your region means, just stay calm and to wait for the automatic OTA push.
