As promised, OnePlus has started to roll out Android 8.0 Oreo based OxygenOS update for OnePlus 3 and 3T users. The company has announced this software update officially on their OnePlus forums. Currently they were pushing the Open Beta version of Oreo, that may contains new features and some bugs. According to the official forum, the Oreo beta update for Oneplus 3 and 3T will arrive as Open Beta 25 and Open Beta 16.

And the download size of this update will be 868 MB (OP3) and 1434 MB (OP3T). OnePlus has also revealed the detailed changelog of this Oreo beta build. Following are the lists of changes and bugs included in the beta update:

System Changes:

• Android Version will be updated to 8.0 (Oreo)

• New Picture in Picture (PIP) mode

• New Auto-fill and smart text selection features

• Enhanced Quick settings design

• Android security patch will stay in September month

Launcher Changes:

• Newly included Notification dots features

• Now access Shot on OnePlus with OnePlus account login for & also upload photos directly via wallpapers

Some of the known issues:

• Slower response in fingerprint actions

• Google Photos app shortcut has been removed

• NFC and Bluetooth stability issues

• Third party apps compatibility and performance issues

Some users have also reported the bugs in night mode, touch latency, heating issue, battery drain, internet connectivity issue and more. These lists of bugs will be fixed by next incremental software update. The existing open beta users will receive this android oreo beta update via OTA. The users who are willing to participate in beta program they need to flash their device with custom ROM.
