OnePlus 5 users who are in Android Oreo beta program has started to receive next wave of beta version. The second build for beta testers will arrive as Oxygen Open Beta 2. The latest firmware includes lots of enhancements and bug fixes for this device. OnePlus has officially confirmed this roll out through their forums. They’ve also disclosed the full changelog that are carried by this update.
Following are the list of changes that will be applied by the Open Beta 2 update:
Fixes the widget and shortcut issues on OnePlus Launcher
Enhancements in Camera UI
Now you can play video files with f4v formats
Tweaks the speed of large file deletions
Improvements in Reading Mode, Bluetooth audio and vibration
Rectify the bugs related to Parallel app
It solves the rebooting issue when using Picture in Picture (PIP mode)
Installs the November month security patch
Stability improvements and other bug fixes
The download size of this oreo beta 2 update will be in 124MB. The existing beta members can download this update via OTA. Sometimes the beta update may erase your personal files so backup your data before upgrade. If you own OnePlus 5 and having an interest to participate to Open Beta program, then download the beta ROM and flash it on your device. Remember once flashed your device you will not receive any stable OTA updates in future.
