As confirmed earlier, OnePlus has started to roll out Project Treble support OnePlus 5 and 5T devices. It has been officially affirmed by the OnePlus through their forum page. These handsets were launched in 2017 and still these devices are getting regular updates. This stable software update for OnePlus 5 and 5T brings new software version OxygenOS 5.1.6.
Along with Project Treble, it also adds Idea VoLTE support for India, enhanced bluetooth stability for calls and installs the October month security patch. This featured update weighs around 1625 MB (1.6 GB). To install this latest update, you previous Oxygen OS version must be in 5.1.5.
This firmware update will be available for download via OTA in stages. Initially the OTA update will pop-up for small number of users and the full-fledged roll out will happen in few days. As you may have noticed the update comes in large size, so use recommended connection like WiFi for download. If you face any issues after installation, you can report the bug on feedback forums.
