OnePlus has released incremental Open Beta updates (OxygenOS) for its flagship devices OnePlus 5 and 5T. The manufacturer has confirmed both handsets are getting this update at the same time, as well as, updated the changelog of these beta builds on their forum page. What’s new in this beta build ? it will bump the android security patch to September 2018, tweaks the weather app UI, added manual connect options for OnePlus Switch (in case of QR code failure), backup & recovery support added for app data and other bug fixes.
Apart from these tweaks it doesn’t bring any other new features. If you’re a n existing beta member and own OnePlus 5/5T handset, you can download this latest beta build via OTA. Suppose if you’re not a beta tester but willing to join in beta program, then download and flash the official ROM on your device. To revert to official OTA patch you want to download the stable ROM and flash it on your device. Before download the custom ROM, charge you device above 50 percent and use recommended internet connection to avoid installation errors. As usual the beta build will contain some bugs, you can share those bug list on feedback forum.
