Followed by Open Beta 4 update, OnePlus 6 users are started to receive new incremental update and it will arrive as Oxygen OS Open Beta 5. This latest update brings October month android security patch, tweaked Power off menu UI and enhanced screenshot interface UI. Some users are reporting this software update also improves the battery life of this device.
The existing beta testers can download this update as OTA or you can download the zip file and install it via local upgrade. Users who are ready to join in beta program, need to download the Full ROM from official forum and flash it on your device. To download the OTA update manually just head to Settings menu and tap system update. If you spot any bugs in this beta build you can report your feedback via community app.
OnePlus has scheduled an event on October 29 to unveil the OnePlus 6T successor smartphone. The manufacturer has also tipped that OnePlus 6T will run on Android Pie with new revamped UI. We want to wait for the event to know about the pricing and exact release date.
