Recently OnePlus had brought Google Lens feature to OnePlus 5 and 5T devices via Open Beta updates. Now they've expanded this feature to OnePlus 6 by rolling out as OxygenOS 5.1.9. Unlike OnePlus 5/5T, the OnePlus 6 devices are getting this software update as a stable build. OnePlus has officially affirmed this firmware update on their forum page and also posted the full changelog.

As per the report, the OxygenOS 5.1.9 update will bring improvements on System, Camera, Message and Wireless & networks sections. We’ve also listed the detailed changelog below for your reference.

• July 2018 android security has been installed

• Solved the accidental touch issues while drawing V gestures

• Enable VoLTE and VoWifi support for Telia Finland

• Enhancements and other bug fixes

Camera

• Image quality has been tweaked

• Added Google Lens in camera options

• New beauty option in selfie portrait mode

Messages

• Newly added Group support MMS feature

Wireless & Networks

• WiFi connectivity and stability has been optimized

• Stability issue on connecting bluetooth  to cars has been fixed

That’s all the changes and bug fixes which has been specified by the company on their official forum page. For OnePlus 6 the update weighs in 342 MB and will be available for download via OTA. Because of batch-wise roll out the availability of this update will vary by region, but you can still download it using VPN connection. Follow the steps and use recommended internet connection to avoid errors during installation.
