After releasing lots of teasers, Oppo has finally introduced the new flagship smartphones in its ‘F series’ through live launching event. The manufacturer has named this new arrivals as Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro. Compared to F7, Oppo had done so many improvements in F9 series like design, hardware features and also introduced new V-Shaped notch display. They’ve also revealed the price and release date of these handsets for Indian market.

From August 21, the interested users can pre-book the F9 Pro device from Flipkart and other Oppo stores. Oppo F9 Pro will be available to buy at both online and offline retailers from August 31. The launch price of F9 and F9 Pro handsets in India are Rs. 19,990 and Rs. 23,990.

Specs:

Oppo F9 Pro features 6.3-inch FHD+ (2280x1080) display with waterdrop screen (like Essential Phone), 19.5:9 aspect ratio and guarded by 2.5D curved gorilla glass. It will be pre-installed with android 8.1 oreo os which has been customized by Color OS 5.2. Like previous devices, it also uses Mediatek Helio P60 chipset and octa core processor to speed up the performance. Memory options are 6GB RAM, 64GB of vast internal storage and also has dedicated microSD card which can be expandable up to 256GB.

Moving to back, this device houses dual main camera lens 16MP + 2MP and also has 25MP front camera (similar to Oppo F7) for perfect selfies. The camera features AI Beautify 2.1, AR Stickers, Slow Motion Video, Super Vivid Mode, Google Lens, AI camera mode and so on. Other preloaded connectivity features are Fingerprint, WiFi, Bluetooth, Face Unlock, 4G LTE, dual nano sim slot, Micro USB and more are there. It packed with 3500 mAh battery which compatible with 5V/4A fast charging and offers 2 hours of talk time with 5 minutes of charge.

Both Oppo F9 and F9 Pro sports similar specifications, but the F9 differs in memory (4GB / 64GB) and color options. The available color options in Oppo F9 are black and purple while the F9 Pro version arrives in three gradient colors Starry Purple, Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue.
