As per the schedule Oppo has revealed the two flagship or successor smartphones in R series at an official launch event in china. The new smartphones are named as R9 and R9 Plus. After the announcement both handsets are goes for preorder in china. Initially Oppo R9 smartphone will exclusively release in China on March 24. But the R9 plus variant will be available in China from April 12. Oppo R9 will be available for 2799 CNY which is equivalent to Rs. 28,810 or $431 USD. While the r9 plus model priced at 3299 CNY (RS.33,930 or $508 USD). The color options for both models are gold and rose gold.

Comparing the r9 and r9 plus handset both has some similar features like hybrid dual sim slot, 4GB RAM, 16MP front camera, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE with VoLTE, android 5.1.1 lollipop os (Colors OS 3.0), microSD card slot and VOOC flash charge technology. Other features will vary for both smartphones.

The r9 has 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display while the R9 plus has upgrade 6-inch Full HD (1080p) display. Oppo r9 runs on octa core processor and Mediatek Helio P10 chipset where the r9 plus runs on 1.8 GHz octa core processor and qualcomm snapdragon 652 chipset. The r9 comes with 64GB internal storage, but the r9 plus comes in two storage models 64GB and 128GB.

The camera option for r9 model is 13MP back camera and 16Mp front camera. But in R9 Plus variant it back camera upgraded to 16MP and retains 16MP front camera. Oppo r9 mobile houses 2850 mAh battery capacity while the r9 plus battery capacity bumped to 4120 mAh. Both models will support Oppo’s VOOC flash charge technology to quickly charge the battery.
