Samsung begun to upgrade two years old Galaxy C9 Pro smartphone to Android 8.0 Oreo version. The roll out has been officially confirmed by the manufacturer and also updated the full changelog at their  support page. Another interesting fact is along with oreo it also carries the latest security patch i.e. July 2018. The build number of this oreo update will come as C9000ZCU1CRG6. They were rolling out this major software update as OTA which brings lots of new features to Galaxy C9 Pro device.

Samsung appends some important notes with this update for those who are ready to upgrade their device. We have listed the notes below:

 - Before updating the OS version users are advised to update the following apps Samsung Pay, Samsung Internet, Samsung Notes and Email to latest version

 - The software update will reset the Easy Mode settings , so you want to configure it again after upgrading to oreo

 - After updating the Weather widget version it may disappear sometimes if the device goes idle. To fix this issue drag the Weather widget again.

 - Baidu search will be replaced with Baidu app and newly added app icon for Samsung Connect

 - This update will remove the lock screen theme, so you want to select the new theme for lock screen

Along with this migrations, the update also carries new features like Samsung Experience 9.0, manage notifications, Samsung Keyboard related tweaks, notification badges, improved battery life, Samsung Cloud, Samsung Account, Smart View, newly added auto speed and 2x speed on video, lock screen and AOD related enhancements and so on.

The report claims this android oreo update is rolling out in Chinese region and it will expand to other regions like India and Hong Kong in the upcoming weeks.
