AT&T carrier owned Samsung Galaxy S8 units are now upgrading to Android 8.0 Oreo version. Recently the following U.S carriers have released this oreo update for S8 devices - T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint. This software roll out is already live for AT&T users and also installed in more number of handsets. AT&T carrier has updated the Galaxy S8 changelog at the support page.

The android 8.0 oreo update for AT&T Galaxy S8 arrives with new build number R16NW.G950USQU2CRB9. The support page reveals the update will weigh in 1.55GB. Samsung is rolling out this major firmware update via OTA in phases. Users are recommended to download this big update through uninterrupted network like WiFi.

The oreo for S8 brings Samsung Experience 9.0, February 1 2018 security patch, picture in picture mode, notification dots, autofill, enhanced battery saver and more. If you own AT&T powered Galaxy S8, you will be notified by the carrier about this software update. Suppose if you didn’t receive the update prompt means, you can initiate the update from Settings > Software update > Check for updates.

However the carrier didn’t updated the support page S8+, which means the oreo roll out for S8+ not started yet. Don’t worry, AT&T carrier will surely release the oreo update for Galaxy S8+, but we can’t say exactly when it will begin.
