At last AT&T has released Android Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 smartphone users. They have rolled out this firmware update for these two handsets through FOTA (firmware-over-the-air). The build number for galaxy s6 edge+ and note 5 will be updated to MMB29K.G928AUCU2BPE6 and MMB29K.N920AUCU2BPE6. Based on the version number the download size will vary from 1350MB to 1370MB for both mobiles.
The mentioned file size is very large so connect your device to WiFi network to avoid issues on downloading the update. The marshmallow is already in live so stay with internet connection to receive notification. You can also check for updates by selecting Settings > About device > Software update > Check for updates.
The firmware update for note 5 and s6 edge+ adds new AT&T video call feature, doze mode, advanced app permissions, Google now on Tap and more features. It will also include enhancement and bug fixes for these handsets. Once the upgrade finished you can verify the latest android version 6.0.1 from Settings > About device.
