AT&T major carrier in U.S has started to roll out latest security firmware update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge handsets. This software will bump the security patch level of these devices to December 1 2017. Everyone is waiting for January 2018 patch, but the carrier just now released the December patch. Both handsets are currently running on Android 7.0 Nougat os.
For Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge the latest update will come with the build number G930AUCS4BQL1 and G935AUCS4BQL1. The download size for both devices will weighs in less than 50MB. Along with december patch, the firmware will also fix BlueBorne issue related to Bluetooth security. The carrier has also updated the release notes for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge at their support page.
The report says that the OTA roll out has already started and available to download for eligible users. Connect your handset to wifi or mobile data and wait for the automatic OTA update. Once upgraded your device, you can verify the installation from settings menu.
