Users who bought Samsung Galaxy S7 Active from AT&T network are started to receive Android 8.0 Oreo software update. Even the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices are upgraded to Oreo, but for some reasons they were delayed this roll out to S7 Active users for the past few months. AT&T carrier has also officially affirmed this update by updating the changelog at their support page.

According to that, the android oreo for galaxy s7 active brings new software version G891AUCU3CRE7. It will also bump the security patch level of this device to April 1 2018. This major firmware update weighs in 1.5GB, so use recommended internet connection like WiFi for download. AT&T adds two new features to this device - FirstNet IOC2 (related to emergency first responders) and APN support for Mobile Hotspot.

Other oreo goodies are Samsung Pass, PIP mode, autofill, notification dots, dual messenger support, Samsung Experience 9.0, Biometrics related improvements, quick panel, Samsung Keyboard update and more.

This android oreo update will be available for download as FOTA in phases. Because of batch-wise roll out it may take some time to reach all devices. You can also manually check for update from Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
