Samsung has released October month security patch file for its flagship mobile S8 Plus. Everyone is looking for November patch, but the Samsung has just started the October patch roll out in India. Few days ago, they’ve pushed this same October month patch in South Korea region. For India the security update brings new software version G955FXXU1AQJ5.

This firmware not only applies the october patch, it also includes DeX mode stability enhancement, stability tweaks in launcher and other bug fixes. The update file weighs in big 492.59 MB. Soon Samsung will roll out this update to Galaxy S8 users in India. The update is already live in India and can be downloaded via OTA.

So anytime the security software update will reach your handset. If the update is available for your device, use recommended connection (WiFi) to download the OTA. You can also initiate the update manually from settings menu.
