Earlier this month, Samsung has released the March 2018 security patch for Galaxy S9 and S9+ handsets in Germany. Now the U.S units of S9 and S9+ are getting its first software update, but it’s not the security update. Rather it will improve the stability of camera and face unlock features. Right now this firmware update is available for S9 device only, but it will also arrive for S9+ model in the upcoming days.
It will update the software version of Galaxy S9 to G960U1EU1ARBG and S9+. They were pushing this enhancement update via OTA which weighs in 286.01 MB. Apart from the camera and face unlock tweak, it will also do bug fixes and performance optimizations. But sadly it will update the android security patch which will remain at February month.
Anyway if you own S9/S9+ and lives in U.S means then you will receive the automatic prompt for this OTA update. Otherwise you can also check for the update manually from Settings > Software update. Try to download the software update with recommended internet connection to stay away from errors.
