After spotted the bootloop issue in April, T-Mobile has halted the security patch updates for Samsung Galaxy S9/ S9+ devices in U.S. But now T-the carrier has lifted the suspend and started to push new software update. The carrier has also officially confirmed this roll out by updating the support pages. Some t-mobile users have also received this update and shared the screenshot on reddit forum.
As per the report, this firmware update will bring new software versions for Galaxy S9 (G960USQS2ARF4) and Galaxy S9+ (G965USQS2ARF4). What’s new in this update – June 2018 security patch, system enhancements and bug fixes. For Galaxy S9 the download size of update will be in 748.77 MB, but the size for Galaxy S9+ not revealed yet.
According to the support page, they’ve started the software roll out has just now and it will available for download via OTA. You can also manually check for software updates from Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.
