Good news Sprint wireless now upgrading Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ mobiles to Android 7.0 Nougat. Both handsets were launched in 2015 and it’s almost two years old. Sprint officially confirmed this software update on their community forums. The nougat firmware is already live in US and also shared the screenshots on forums who received this update. For galaxy note 5 the nougat arrives in the version N920PVPU3DQC5. The download file comes in large size 1450.55MB (1.45GB).
The galaxy s6 edge+ getting this update as G928PVPU3DQC5 and weighs in 1331.70MB (1.3GB). The nougat for both handsets will include revamped UX, multi-window mode, custom quick settings icons, enhanced notification features, new performance mode option, optimized storage space for apps installation, samsung pass feature and more. After os upgrade some apps will not work to fix this issue update the apps to latest version.
The carrier rolling out this nougat update in stages, so it will be available for set of users first (based on priority). If you have got the software update prompt then proceed to install that shown on your screen. You can also check for manual update from Settings > About device > Software updates. Once upgraded to nougat verify your android version from Settings menu.
