Finally the Verizon has released Android Nougat os update for Galaxy J3 (2016) entry-level smartphone. While others are looking for Android Oreo upgrade, but the company just rolled out the Nougat update. It will be a good news for those who are awaiting for this update for a long time. The nougat firmware for J3 (2016) will come in the version NMF26X.J320VVRU2BQJ1.

This software update brings several new features like new user interface, revamped call screen, split screen, new battery saver modes, effects preview screen, improvements in proximity sensor, and Push To Talk & sound quality tweaks. It will also fix the following bugs - Wi-Fi voice call drop issue, solves the bug related to Samsung Messaging app for iPhone, ringback tones issues for incoming calls while outside of verizon and other bug fixes.

The update will also install the august month security patch which appends with the fix for Blueborne issue. Verizon has also posted the full changelog at their official support page. The report suggests the nougat roll out is already live in U.S which comes through OTA. Normally the OTA update comes in stages so it will take some more time to reach all devices.
