Few days back, Samsung had confirmed the launch of new Galaxy A8 Star smartphone for India and it will be exclusive to amazon retailer and Samsung e-shop. As scheduled, today the manufacturer has brought this mid-range handset for sale in India and also available for buy. Both retailers have listed this device for the price of Rs. 34,990. The galaxy  a8 star arrives in two colors black and white. If you buy this device between August 27 - September 7 you will get 1-year screen protection plan as free.

Specs of Samsung Galaxy A8 Star:

The galaxy a8 star has taller display 6.3-inch (Super AMOLED) with 18.5:9 aspect ratio (Infinity Display) and the screen has occupied 80.6% of body. It comes with Android 8.0 oreo as pre-installed version and it has been customized with Samsung Experience 9.0 UX. This handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and octa core processor. At this price range, OnePlus 6 offers Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and it even sports notch design. It will be available in single storage variant 6GB + 64GB and it compatible with microSD card (up to 400GB).

Coming to camera part, it has 24MP + 16MP dual main cameras at back and 24MP selfie camera at front. The rear camera can support 2160p (4K) video recording) while the front camera support 1080p video recording. Other features are fingerprint (back-mounted), hybrid dual sim slot, dual messenger, WiFi (dual band), Type-C USB, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with Samsung Pay, GPS with Galileo, Face Unlock and so on. This device packed with 3700 mAh non-removable battery and supports fast charging (9V/1.67A).

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is the rebranded version of Galaxy A9 Star which was launched in China on June 2018. To bring this device to global market Samsung had launched this device with the name Galaxy A8 Star. Samsung will also expand this flagship device to more countries in the upcoming months.
