A day ago, Samsung has launched two new smartphone Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite (aka Galaxy A6+) in China. These handsets are also up for preorder at Samsung online shop and the release date scheduled on June 14. Today the Samsung has accidentally revealed the new handset Galaxy A8 Star, it’s the global version of Galaxy A9 Star. The manufacturer has confirmed the device existence by listing the full specs and official images at Samsung Mobile Press.

However the company didn’t specify the price and exact release date of this device. According to china preorder, the Galaxy A8 Star will launch under premium range and it will be priced above Rs. 38,000. Apart from the model name, the design and hardware specs of A8 Star are identical to Galaxy A9 Star.

The galaxy a8 star features 6.3-inch FHD+ (2220 x 1080) Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio (Infinity display). It runs on android 8.0 oreo os with Samsung custom UI and will be powered by octa core (chipset name not specified). Memory options are 4GB RAM, 64GB of onboard storage and also supports expandable storage via microSD card (Up to 400 GB).

At rear this handset sports dual cameras 16MP + 24MP which supports 4K recording, real-time bokeh, AI camera and more. It also has 24MP front camera with AI Beautify and improved low-light selfies. This handset houses dual security features fingerprint (located at back) and face unlock. Other features are WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Type-C USB, 4G LTE (Cat 9 speed), Bixby assistant, Dolby atmos and more. It fueled with 3700 mAh battery and supports fast charging technology. The available color options are black and white.
