Earlier March 2016, Samsung has announced the successor versions of Galaxy J series smartphones in China – Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016). These two mid-range mobiles are now officially unveiled in India. The j5 and j7 (2016) model mobiles are launched to target the selfie lovers in India. The led flash in front camera will be helpful to capture low light selfie images. The flipkart online shopping retailer will exclusively roll out this handset in India. It will be available in-stock from today midnight. The retailer will sell the J5 (2016) handset in India for the price of Rs. 13,990 while the J7 (2016) handset for Rs. 15,990. Both models are available in black, gold and white colors.

Both j5 (2016) and j7 (2016) handsets have dual sim slot, Super AMOLED display, android 6.0 marshmallow os, 13MP back camera (with led flash), 5MP selfie camera (led flash), 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth and 4G LTE connectivity. Apart from this other specifications are differ for both mobiles.

The j5 2016 model has 5.2-inch HD (720p) display while j7 2016 model has 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display. The j5 handset comes with 1.2 GHz quad core processor, qualcomm snapdragon 410 chipset and 2GB RAM. But the j7 mobile has upgraded 1.6 GHz octa core processor, Exynos 7870 chipset and 3GB RAM. The battery capacity of j5 (2016) mobile is 3100 mAh where the j7 (2016) battery capacity bumped to 3300 mAh. Both handsets didn’t have fingerprint sensor support.
