Samsung Galaxy S II was initially launched with Android 2.3 Gingerbread in 2011.More than 40 million units have been sold out. Later it was updated with the Android Ice cream sandwich in 2012. Samsung recently announced Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S II.

The Update expects to download via Samsung Kies PC software. It takes 1GB of the 12GB internal memory, after the update the internal memory was reduced to 11GB. The update will not be available via OTA (Over the Air) due to the large size of data. The update will re-partition the system memory and it takes at least 1 hour. The update includes some new features includes Smart Stay, that keeps the display when you're looking the screen.

It was announced, the update will be coming before the end of the year 2012 and then it was delayed to early 2013. Now reports said that update will start in February. Samsung has been updating their Galaxy S III smart phones, Note IIs to the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Also it was bringing new features and multi-window modes to those phones. Among these smart phones Galaxy S II getting its Jelly Bean. This will be the great improvement for Galaxy S II.

According to the various reports the update was confirmed on next month in Singapore, and then it may reach the other regions in the following weeks. Also the update will be available for the international i9100 version and latterly available for other US models.
