Sprint carrier has begun to push new software update for Samsung Galaxy S9 users in U.S. This firmware update will add two new features and removes one audio codec file from this device. What are the new features? It brings March 2018 security patch and BIP WiFi support. On other hand it will truncate the G711 audio codec from Galaxy S9 device.
The carrier has officially affirmed this update by posting the changelog on Sprint Community forum. They’ve also specified the roll out will start from April 18. This update brings new software version for sprint galaxy s9 device – G960USQU2ARC6. The eligible users will receive this firmware update automatically via OTA. Optionally you can also use OEM tool to download and install this update.
Before checking for the software update, don’t forget to charge the battery of your phone and also use recommended internet connection to download. Usually the OTA update will be rolled out in stages and take some time or even days to reach all devices. But the carrier will surely push this update for all Galaxy S9 users who bought it from Sprint network.
