T-Mobile USA has released a July month security update for Samsung Galaxy Note (N910) and Galaxy Note Edge (N915) smartphones. This new security firmware is already goes live in USA. If you are using the t-mobile powered galaxy note 4 and note edge mobiles then you will receive a notification for this software update.
The galaxy note 4 carries two baseband versions N910TUVU2EPG2 and N910T3UVU2EPG2. The download file size will also differ for these two versions 309.9MB and 281.27MB. The list of software versions which are eligible to receive are updated in t-mobile support page.
For galaxy note edge model it will carry a single baseband version N915TUVU2DPG2. The update file size for this handset is 328MB. The eligible software versions are listed at the support page of galaxy note edge on t-mobile.
Both handsets will receive the update through OTA (over-the-air) and also requires wifi connection to download. To initiate manual update select Settings > About device > Software Update > Check for updates, then follow the steps that shown on your screen. It can also be downloaded from PC which requires smart switch pc suite.
