Android based devices with the Exynos 4 series processors suffering by the kernel security exploit problem. The problem was found in Samsung models running the Exynos 4210 and Exynos 4412 processors like  Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100), Samsung Galaxy S III (GT-I9300), Samsung Galaxy S III LTE (GT-I9305), Samsung GALAXY Note (GT-N7000), Samsung GALAXY Note II (GT-N7100), Samsung GALAXY Note II Verizon-Locked Boot loader (SCH-I605), Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (GT-N8000), and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8010).

 The Korean based manufacturer Samsung has been sent out the patch to U.K to fix that problem. Samsung released the software I9300XXELLA in UK to fix the kernel problem in Samsung Galaxy S III. The update is not available for other regions now. Also the update is expected to reach other region soon. UK user’s can update the software via OTA (Over the Air) and Kies. The update also comes with a new boot loader with security changes.

One more problem in Samsung galaxy S III is Sudden Death bug. Samsung said the reason is firmware bug and that a firmware update also sent to repair that. The vulnerability bypasses the system's permissions, allowing maliciously app to extract otherwise encrypted data from the device's RAM or modify the kernel.

 The user can update the software by the steps go to setting > About Device > Software Updates. The update is available but there is no official information about this update from Samsung.
