Verizon wireless seems to push new software update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users in USA. This update includes several bug fixes and latest security patch for these handsets. For Galaxy S7 owners the update will arrive with version G930VVRU4BQF2. While the galaxy s7 edge users will get this update as G935VVRU4BQF2. According to release notes, the firmware update fixes the following issues – notification bug fix in link sharing app, video message (MMS) playback, easy mode available for Google preloaded apps, device booting problem, bluetooth software updated to fix Gear 360 connection, unexpected pause in visual voicemail message playback, Google Maps bug on Knox due to permission error, updates the HD Voice performance and fix for VPN random reset issue.
Verizon will send this software update to S7 and S7 owners via regular OTA. To download this new firmware you need to connect your device to WiFi network. Once the automatic OTA update is available for your device tap the install now option to download and install the software. For manual update checking tap Settings menu > About phone > Software update > check for updates.
