Sony has announced the official price and different variants of the tablet Z in MWC 2013 in Barcelona.  Sony announced its 10.1-inch tablet Xperia tablet Z coinciding it with its Xperia Z last month. Sony will make the Xperia tablet Z available in markets worldwide by the second quarter of 2013. The Xperia Tablet Z is PlayStation certified and is resistant to water and dust. Xperia Tablet Z confirms with IP57 and IP55 standards for its water and dust resistance. The tablet can be submerged in one meter water for maximum of 30 minutes.

It is Powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU and Mobile Bravia Engine 2. Xperia Tablet Z sports a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and a 2GB of RAM. It also comes with 8 megapixel rear facing camera and 2 megapixel front facing camera. Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.  Sony Xperia Tablet Z is the world’s lightest and slimmest tablet at weight of 495g and 6.9mm thickness.

The Xperia tablet Z will be available in two colors black and white. A black model will be available for both 16GB and 32GB variants and white color model will be available only for 32GB variant. The Xperia Tablet Z 16GB variant will be available at the cost of $499 and 32GB variant will be available at the cost of $599. Also the white model will be available only via company’s online retail shop or through Sony Store. There is no official information about the carriers. Sony announced in MWC that the tablet will be hitting the market at the price of $499.
