Sony has started to roll out new software update for its Xperia L1, XA1 and XA1 Ultra handsets. It will upgrade the android security patch level of these mobiles to August 5 2017. The update will bump the build number of Xperia XA1 to 40.0.A.6.135. For Xperia XA1 Ultra the new build number will be in 42.0.A.4.101.

Finally the Xperia L1 will receive this update in the version 43.0.A.5.79. The security update may also fix the bugs and tweaks the performance. Apart from these it doesn’t include any other major changes. This new firmware update will arrive through OTA in stages. You can also manually check whether the update is available in your region or not from Settings menu.
