Few days back, Sony’s flagship smartphone Xperia XZ2 Premium went for sale in US. Now the manufacturer has started to push the first software update for this newly arrived device. This firmware update carries the latest android security patch i.e. August 1 2018 for this handset. As well as it adds new camera modes to rear dual cameras – Monochrome (for photo & video) and Bokeh.
This software update arrives with new build number 51.1.A.12.27. This update didn’t make any changes in android version, it will still remain at android 8.0.0. Sony rolling out this security software update in stages via OTA. At first it will be available to small percent of users and then it will expand to other set of users. If you own Xperia XZ2 Premium you can manually initiate the software update from Settings menu. If the OTA update is unavailable for your device means, stay calm the roll out has just now started so it will take time to reach all devices.
