Just a day ago, Google has published the February 2018 security patches for Nexus and Pixel range of handsets. Now the Xiaomi brand has started to seed this latest security firmware for Mi A1 (android one) smartphones. However this February month security patch is available only for Oreo beta testers. This means the update is in beta stage which may come with lots of bugs. Once the issues are cleared they’ll release the final and stable version for non-beta users.
The february patch for Mi A1 arrives with new build number OPR1.170623.026.8.2.1. The screenshot has revealed the update will come as OTA and the download size will be in 1112.2 MB (1.12GB). This February patch will fix the critical security vulnerability on Media framework and prevent from remote attackers who execute the arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process via specially crafted file.
To download this OTA update, you must be a beta participant and then check for the software update from Settings > About Phone. You can also down the official beta ROM from Mi forum and flash it on your device.
