For the past few days, you may have seen many teasers and leaks about the Xiaomi Mi 6X smartphone. Today the manufacturer has put an end to those rumors, by launching this handset in Chinese market. It’s the upgraded version of Mi 5X, which was released on last year July 2017. If you look at the design it will be very similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro, but the Mi 6X varies in hardware specs.

The Mi 6x features 5.99-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080) display with 18:9 screen ratio. It arrives with upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and 2.2 GHz octa core processor. By default it will be equipped with android 8.1 oreo os and Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 9. Xiaomi has launched this handset in three variants 4GB/64GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.

Back of this device, it has dual camera lens 20MP + 12MP which includes 4K video recording, A.I camera modes, slow motion video recording, Sony sensor and more exciting features. It also has 20MP awesome selfie camera which also support A.I camera modes.

Connectivity options are wifi, bluetooth 5.0, Type-C USB, fingerprint (back mounted), face unlock, hybrid dual sim slot, Type-C headphone jack and more. Coming to battery, it will be powered by 3010 mAh non-removable battery and compatible with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. This handset will be available in five optional colors black, blue, gold, red and rose gold.

Xiaomi has set to roll out this Mi 6X flagship smartphone in China on April 27 and also revealed the pricing details. The launch price of 4GB + 64GB will be 1599 yuan (Rs. 16,900), 6GB + 64GB version priced at 1799 yuan (Rs. 19,000) and 6GB + 64GB model priced at 1999 yuan (Rs. 21,120).

Soon Xiaomi will bring this handset for global market, but not with the same name (Mi 6X). Because the model name Mi 6X is exclusive for chinese region only. For global countries Xiaomi will release this handset under Android One program and the suggested naming option is Mi A2 (its not official name).
