Couple of days ago, Xiaomi has tested the beta version of android pie with Mi A1 closed beta users. After tested for few days, the company has started to push Android 9.0 Pie stable update to every Mi A1 devices. However Xiaomi not yet started the wider roll out of this software update, it’s available only in selected regions. According this image, the android pie for Mi A1 adds new features like adaptive brightness, adaptive battery, Gesture navigation, app actions, Digital Wellbeing, revamped volume sliders, tweaks in notification UI and the most expected FM radio support. As well as, this update installs December 5 2018 android security patch file. This featured software update weighs around 1074.9 MB (1GB), so we recommend to use WiFi connection to download this huge file.
You may’ve noticed on the screenshot the Android 9 Pie for Mi A1 rolling out as OTA in phases. So the availability of this OTA update will vary by region. IF you own this device, you can manually check for the update from Settings > About phone > System update. Before downloading the update, charge your device above 50% to avoid unwanted interruptions.
