Xiaomi is rolling out new software update for its android one smartphone Mi A1. This software bundle includes the November month security patch for this handset. However this security update weighs in big size 466.9 MB. Some users have reported that the update also arrives in 1079.4 MB (around 1GB). But both update installs the November security patch on Mi A1.

Along with security update, it will also optimize the stability and performance of the device. Unfortunately the Xiaomi didn’t attach the detailed changelog for this update. The company is now seeding this update globally via OTA in phases. So the OTA roll out will take some time to hit all devices. You can also check for the manual update from settings menu to know whether the OTA is available for your region or not.

At launch Xiaomi has confirmed the Mi A1 is eligible to receive Android 8.0 Oreo update. The company is also working on that process and it may be released before the year end.
