The term eSIM represents electronic sim card or embedded sim card. The future smartphones will be replaced by this eSIM technology, instead of using physical sim card. At the time of manufacturing the manufacturers will embed this eSIM feature within internal components and it can’t be removed. For example, if you want to port your mobile number to other network, you need to replace the old sim card with new one that given by the operator you’re going to switch. You may also want to resize the physical sim card like micro, nano and mini that available on your phone.
But this eSIM technology will eliminate this process and you can simply switch to other network via software. Right now this facility is offered by fewer networks, but in future you may see many operators will upgrade their technology to eSIM.
