Android 8.0 Oreo beta now rolling out for Xiaomi Mi A1

After recruiting beta testers, Xiaomi has started to test the Android 8.0 Oreo beta version on registered users. The software roll out has been confirmed by the MIUI official forum. The users who installed this update on their handsets have shared their screenshots on this forum. The beta participants will receive this firmware update via OTA.

The download size of the oreo update will be in 1104.1 MB (1.1 GB). The oreo beta update also installs the December month security patch on this device. Because of its large size you need a uninterrupted wifi or data connection to download. The android oreo includes new features like PIP mode, Auto fill, background app restriction, battery life enhancement, snoozing individual notifications and more.

 If you’ve already registered for beta program, you can manually check for update from settings menu. Once the OTA is available for your device then download it and proceed to installation process.
