Finally T-Mobile powered HTC U11 Life has started to receive Android 8.0 Oreo update in U.S. HTC has officially affirmed this firmware upgrade through official U.S twitter page. This handset was first landed in T-Mobile on November 2017 with android nougat os and Sense UI. But outside of U.S the company rolled out this smartphone as Android One series and equipped with Android 8.0 Oreo (Stock UI).
If you own T-Mobile’s HTC U11 Life running on Sense UI then you’re eligible to receive this update. The software version of this Oreo update will come as 2.15.531.6. It’s a major update so the download file weighs in large size 1.32GB. The carrier has initiated the software update via OTA and also hitting more number of users. As usual, the OTA roll out will take time to reach all handsets.
HTC didn’t release the full changelog for this oreo update. But we know the features of Android Oreo like PIP mode (Picture in Picture), autoFill, notification dots, instant apps, new emoji icons and more. Don’t forget to charge the battery of your mobile above 40 percent and use recommended WiFi connection to avoid excess charges.
