Google officially opened the Android Nougat 7.1.2 beta update program for Nexus and Pixel devices. The beta update is now available for following eligible devices - Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X and Nexus Player. The interested users can participate and download this update through Android Beta Program. The company is also working on Nexus 6P and soon the rollout will begin for this device.
What’s new in Nougat 7.1.2 beta? It’s just a maintenance update so it will significantly focus on bug fixes and optimizations on previous build. It may also perform small amount of improvements for carriers. If the user finished sing-up and having eligible device then Google will push this Nougat 7.1.2 beta update through OTA.
The factory image of public beta update is now available at android developer official site. The user can download and manually flash it on their eligible devices. If you’d like to revert this public beta update you can do it in two ways – OTA and factory images. For OTA method the user need to quit the beta program after that they will receive Nougat 7.1 OTA update from Google. If you prefer manual flash you must download the factory image and flash it on your device.
